Our owners at Vätterledens Handel och Industri AB, a Swedish owner of several companies, had three companies stored in a third-party warehouse in Borås in 2015. At the same time, they had other companies that handled their own logistics. This led to considerations about taking care of the three companies on their own.

After we realized that building on top of an existing warehouse wouldn't work, we started looking for another location. We investigated both plots and existing premises and in 2017 got wind of a large location in Kungsbacka. This resulted in the start of our own company, Vätterleden Logistik AB.

On February 1, 2017, we gained access to the premises and in April, the move of the three companies from Borås began, which involved the movement of approximately 7,000 m3 of goods. There, we began to develop our logistics together with the three companies, which led to increased efficiency and smoother operations.

However, it turned out that the contract was only for five years, which meant that we had to find something new or extend by April 2021. We chose to move forward with a new location and on April 1, 2020, we moved into a new location at Landvetter Airport, which gave us more capacity and a perfect location.

We moved 7000 m3 of goods and our staff, now consisting of 20 people, followed us to the new premises. Then the hunt for new customers for our new 3PL warehouse began.

From starting with three of our own companies, we have now grown to include 30 different companies of different sizes, all with different needs in 2024. Our staff has also grown to 20 people and our journey continues. With our experience and expertise, we are well equipped to continue to offer a high-quality logistics solution for our existing and potential customers.
